My thoughts on the disaster in the states

First of all,
we have been watching the dreadful events that are taking place in the states, it makes us realize just how vulnerable we really are, mother nature can be our worst enemy and our strongest friend.
It is just horrible how disasters can bring out the worst (or true nature) of some people, it makes me sad to hear some of the atrocities that have occurred.
On the other side of that coin are the few (hopefully more than a few) of the wonderful kind and caring people who give all to help total strangers. That gives us some hope for humanity!
The closest I have been to a disaster was the Ice storm , during that event I witness the random acts of kindness and the generosity of strangers and the caring that can come of events that push total strangers together.
My family and I are truly thankful that we have never seen the "other" side of humanity and so go on thinking that there is hope for humankind.
In my opinion I think the the president isn't doing all that he should and that I agree with the people there its "too little, too late"

"bring out the worst (or true nature) of some people"

I was thinking of those everyday people that had no means to leave town...and by despair had to do things they never imagined they would do...
beeing tottaly unable to change things, impotent, most be one of the worse fellings...

we whatch "the most powerfull" nation...slow in acting, little in acting - now that Katrina as passed

and before? didn't they know better? didn't they had the time to act (really act)...was there a -don't care much about it???
(set 11, looked much more quick and efficient)

I hope people can see things change, efficient acting, soon...
