Storm coming......

Here we go, our first storm of the season, and because I have been a dumb ass, and have watched way to much of CNN I have now become tooo paranoid of mother nature :(

I have filled the bathtub and have filled all available containers with fresh water, the batteries are all charged up for our flashlights I have plenty of candles ready and blew the dust off our crank emergency radio and its waiting on the counter if we need it.

Am I too paranoid or smart?? good grief who knows but I do feel that its our own responsibility to be prepared in any emergency (that we are aware of). I don't think that we should be sitting around unprepared expecting that the emergency workers will rescue us. Who knows how long that will take??

So here I sit with nerves on edge and baking up lots of comfort food just in case the power does go out. Then at least we can huddle together around the candles and eat nice fresh cinnamon buns and tell scary stories :)
