Hey there all,
Well another week has come and gone, the summer is flying by, so much for the forecast of a hot dry summer. Its raining again today.
Last night at supper we were all chatting about Pride parade, which by the way is on Saturday and hopefully it won't be raining, I had said something about the kids having gay moms Kurtis who had been pretty quiet up till now pipes up "you're gay??" Well that caused quite a round of laughter around the table, he just presumed that we were a "Regular" makeup of what families are and never even thought that we were "unusual" in any way!!
Love it!! We had had many chats with all the kids on our family makeup and all of their friends and teachers are quite aware of this, but it never occurred to us that Kurtis didn't realize that we were "gay" hahaha
Every year we go to the Pride festivities and the kids proudly wave our rainbow flag enjoying the fun and excitement of the parade, last year we took our visiting "straight" Aunt Rena with us and she enjoyed it as much as we did!!!
This year the kids are old enough that we will hang around after the parade and enjoy the concert in the park as well....that is weather permitting :)
